About me

Dr. Sasan Jafarnejad is a computer scientist and AI researcher with a unique blend of academic expertise and industry leadership. Currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), Sasan focuses on enhancing geospatial reasoning capabilities of large language models (LLMs) and their applications in transportation and mobility. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Luxembourg, where his research centered on driver modeling using machine learning algorithms. Prior to his current role, Sasan served as the Chief Technology Officer at Motion-S, where he modernized the company’s tech stack and launched a new API platform. This industry experience, combined with his academic background, positions Sasan as a versatile professional adept at bridging cutting-edge research with practical, real-world applications in AI, mobility technologies, and data science.
